The following video goes through the global issues and the ever changing world. The video starts off with students giving their definition of what they think global issues mean. Then the video goes over a list of facts about the world and a prediction of what the world will be like in the future. The video goes through the change the world is going through.
http://asiasociety.org/globalcompetence Is my favorite resource for assessing global competence at the student level is provided by the Asia Society. The link above provides a rationale, rubrics, I can statements, and performance outcomes for measuring global competence in a variety of school subjects in 5th, 8th, 10th, and 12th grades. I plan to use the wording from these resources in developing rubrics for assessments throughout the school year .
Linked here http://www.azed.gov/educational-technology/2011/10/19/free-educational-technology-literacy-assessment-online-tools/ is the Arizona Department of Education technological literacy assessment online tools page. The State is working to pilot these assessments and has opened use for state schools. I plan to become more familiar with these tools and find the one that will work with my educational program in my classroom.

This Duke University rubric is a more condensed version which emphasizes understanding of the role of technology, communication, economics, culture, politics, and contentedness in global awareness. The rubric has a variety of definitions, skills, and competencies. Working together with your staff is an important first step in clearly defining and prioritizing global education goals for your school.

Central High School Digital Inventory
Central High School has a variety of tools, software, operating systems, and equipment that are available for use in our school and classroom. Every year more technology is available for use with our students. This inventory of technology is a starting point for teachers at Central High School to give options on technology to help teachers bring technology into their classrooms. For me the most useful tools in my classroom are my Promethean Board which allows me to have interactive lessons with my students, my personal school website which I use to inform my students of daily assignments and class procedures, my document camera which I use to model Cornell Notes during my lessons, and the computer lab where I use the Laurus Math program to enrich my students learning and supplement my classroom instruction along with preparing my students for the AZMERIT state assessment given in the spring.
